Ponte di Legno
This is one of the oldest ski stations in Italy but also a famous summer resort throughout the Alps. Its position is splendid on a sunny plateau at 1260 m above sea level overlooked by the Adamello range. The historic centre is very picturesque and there is also a lively little square.
Ponte di Legno is a well-equipped resort with pistes for all levels of skier and has artificial snow, cross-country skiing, connection to the Pass at Tonale to make up a single ski area, ice-skating, swimming pools, discotheques and games rooms.
Passo del Tonale
is a natural, open-air amphitheatre spreading from an altitude of 1,884 m up to 3,100 m. A top class winter resort, Passo Tonale, together with the Presena Glacier, has always ensured an extremely long season of sport on the snow. It is the ideal training ground for skiing novices, with its sunny south-facing slopes suitable for beginners and much more besides. You’ll be spoilt for choice! Try the legendary “black” Paradiso run, 3 km long with a total altitude difference of 710 m, or the long, scenic Alpino piste stretching out over 4,500 m, with a 725 m altitude range.
