The longest slope:
12 kilometers from Col Margherita to Falcade, the “pista degli Innamorati”.
You will find one which is a good 12 kilometers long, which from the top of Col Margherita goes down gently to Falcade, alongside the woods of the Nature Park, crowned by the Cime del Focobon, the Pale di San Martino, Marmolada, and in the background the groups of Civetta and Pelmo: this is the really famous “Pista degli Innamorati”.
Skiing, Love and humour is the philosophy of Ski Area 3valli, 100 km of perfect snow ski runs in the Dolomiti Superski, 27 ski lifts and countless refuges to stop and admire breathtaking views or delight your palate with superbe local cuisine. Ski Tour of Love is one of the best known and appreciated ski itineraries in the Dolomites. Skiers might choose to depart from Falcade and confortably reach the highest point in the ski area, Col Margherita (2500 mt) which boasts a rare-bauty sightseeing. Countless “love-related” events, such as the tasty “gastronomic tour in the Love restaurants” and Saint Valentine Ski Race, have become major importance venues throughout the winter season. Varied difficulty and length ski runs (the Piste of Lovers is the longest, 12 km sloping down from Col Margherita to Falcade) represent impressive landscapes to practise alpine skiing, telemark, snowboarding, or try the funny snow-tubing also at night thanks to the lit snow-tubing slope. Last but not least, as far as cross country skiing is concerned Falcade boasts a real reputation of worldwide known nordic skiing athletes.
