Santa Christina

The small village with the old center and the typical mountain-farms appears very romantic and particular. The village lies in the middle of Val Gardena and is the ideal starting point for skiers and excursionists, who can walk in the middle of nature, while admiring the manifold
Alpine flora, surrounded by the beautiful Dolomite mountains. An experience you will never forget. Thanks to its isolation in the past, the valley has developed an own tradition and culture that is still alive. S. Cristina (1.428 m) is the ideal place for the mountain-friend, who likes to hike, for the nature-lover, who cares about health and is looking for silence and rest and for the one, who loves to spend an amusing ski-vacation in a great atmosphere.

Cross country skiing
Located in Monte Pana, this is a centre designed to meet the most modern requirements of cross-country skiing. For those interested purely in the enjoyment of excursions, the 8-kilometre scenic route, which departs from the cross-country stadium next to the ski-jumps (1640m.), is ideal. Our centre also offers countless other possibilities, with trails of 1km, 2.5km, 3.3km, 3.75km, 5km and 7.5km. Thanks to the excellent signage, skiers can change route at any time, in response to the needs and sensations of the moment, with a total trail distance
of 30km at their disposal.
From Selva Gardena, Vallunga provides a magnificent backcloth for
cross-country skiing. A total of 12 km of trails lead from the Carabinieri sports centre to the end of the valley. There is a cross-country ski school and a ski hire at the start of the trail.
On the Pinëi Saddle (5 km from Ortisei on the road to Castelrotto) there is a fine 5 km long trail for beginners and advanced skiers. Nearby Alpe di Siusi is a real paradise for the more ambitious crosscountry skier, with over 60 km of prepared trails.
