During winter a fairy-tale scenery in white.
In the summer, a unique variety of nature's beauty.
In every season, the world of the Dolomites demonstrates its particular charm in an impressive beauty. The towns of Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva Gardena (in all only 6 miles distance) not only offer beautiful nature, but also a wide variety of art and culture. Ortisei 1236 m, S. Cristina 1428 m and Selva Gardena 1563 m, is situated at a height of 1200 to 1700 meters above sea level. The alpine meadows and ski pistes rise up to 2518 m and the mountain peaks up to 3181 m.
Ortisei (1.236 m)
Ortisei is the hub of activity in Val Gardena and an ideal location for lively and varied holidays with full entertainment value. It combines magnificent scenery with fine sports amenities, culinary delights with cultural highlights, and so many things to do that a holiday always seems too short. Direct connections to Seceda, Alpe di Siusi, Rasciesa and the skiing circuit Sella Ronda.
In the surroundings of Ortisei, there are three small villages: Bulla, (1.481m, 5 km from Ortisei on the road to Castelrotto) a unique small spot earth, which is embedded in a dreamed landscape, San Giacomo (1.433 m) the small idyllic mountain village on the sun side above Ortisei, with wonderful view to the Sassolungo, and Roncadizza (1 km from Ortisei) at the valley entrance.
The altitude of 1,236 m above sea level makes of Ortisei the ideal place for winter and summer holidays. This town, with its old and solid mercantile tradition and rich history, has a particular urban plan that blends harmoniously with the landscape. The centre and its pedestrian only area are a wonderful meeting place but are also ideal for shopping. From here one may easily wander off into the woods in search of some old farm. The Seceda and the Alpe di Siusi can be reached by comfortable lifts.

Enjoy life with the crew. Snowboarding in the Dolomites means redefining the mountains, it means live piste experiences with a new dimension.

Ski mountaineering in the Dolomites is something very special. The choice of routes is varied, but most offer a combination of unique views, relatively short ascents (sometimes with a little help from a lift), and downhill runs through demanding terrain, with narrow gullies and
steep gaps. We recommend the services of a local mountain and ski guide.
• Ski tour from Forcella del Pordoi - Val Mezdì - Val Lasties: a famous
downhill route - and rightly so - but not always easy. The route starts
at the top of the Pordoi cableway.
• High-alpine downhill run from Forcella del Sassolungo (2,686 m)
through the Langkofelkar to Monte Pana.
• Ski tour to Forcella Roa (2,617 m): ascent from Col Raiser in 2 hours.
Ski down to S. Cristina or Longiarù.Warning: for skiers without mountain guide. There are no ski patrols
operating off the prepared ski trails. Skiers who leave the groomed and signposted trails do so at their own risk. Visitors are recommended to obtain accurate information on conditions for the tour, including weather report, snow conditions and the avalanche report, before setting
out.
