Located at the feet of the Col Rodella and close to the Val Duron, Campitello di Fassa is a famous resort known for its typical architecture made of barns and narrow streets.
Campitello was the first tourist and alpine resort in the Val di Fassa with the hotels "Mulino" and "Agnello d’Oro", and an important place of study both for alpinists and worldwide famous scientists.
Thanks to a fast modern cablecar it is possibile to reach the Col Rodella very quickly, with a view on Pian, a picturesque hamlet belonging to the village of Campitello, and on the Sassolungo group. Campitello is a winter paradise both for skiers and snowboarders.
Slopes perfectly covered with snow and new technology lifts allow the skier to reach the neighbouring ski areas on the circuit of the 4 Passes, while in fall and spring it is the ideal place where to practise air sports such as hang gliding and paragliding.
Skiing in Val di Fassa means you can ski in a different area every day according to your inclination and skill. Several ski tours cater for the more advanced skier, including the Sellaronda or Tour of the Four Passes, the evocative “Tour of the First World War”, the Tour of the Three Valleys and the Skitour Panorama. The choice of ski areas suitable for families with children is ample and includes, in particular, San Pellegrino, Catinaccio, Buffaure and Ciampac. Val di Fassa also offers its' guests over 50 kilometers of cross-country trails, (70 if the Marcialonga trail is included), subdivided into rings and tracks of various lengths and difficulty.
